A week by week and month by month agenda...
Week 1 - October 27th
Try and decided on a printer and book size.
Month 1 - October 31st
Have printer established and book size decided, as well as decide how many facts your will be doing for the book.
Week 2 - November 3rd
Gather Facts from different category's so you can begin picking the best ones to work together in the book.
Week 3 - November 10th
Have finalized fact choices and general ideas for each of their visuals
Week 4 - November 17th
Begin necessary research for illustrations that need references or understanding.
Establish color pallet for illustrations / book
Week 5 - November 24th
Split illustrations into different groups to make it feel easier numbers wise.
Start sketching with the "easiest" section
Month 2 - November 30th
Have comp sketches ( ready to be put to the computer) of all facts in the fist section
Week 6 - December 1st
Start computerizing illustrations, adding detail
Week 7 - December 8th
Finish adding detail and texture to fist set on illustrations
Start sketching for second set
Week 8 - December 15th
Have comp sketches ( ready to be put to the computer) of all facts in the second section
Week 9 - December 22nd
Take a week off!!!
Week 10 - December 29th
Have second set of illustrations in the computer vectorized, adding detail
Month 3 - December 31st
Have an understanding of your illustrations so far and how long each one is taking you. Possibly take time to revise goal of how many facts you are planning on doing and either raise or lower the number.
Week 11 - January 5th
Finish adding detail and texture to second set of illustrations
Start sketching for third set
Week 12 - January 12th
Have comp sketches ( ready to be put to the computer) of all facts in the third section
Week 13 - January 19th
Have third set of illustrations in the computer vectorized, adding detail
Week 14 - January 26th
Finish adding detail and texture to fist set on illustrations
Start sketching for second set
Month 4 - January 31st
Have all illustrations computerized. Begin finalizing and checking over all to make sure they work together and are stylistically compatible.
Week 15 - February 2nd
Have all illustrations finalized
Find the best order for facts/illustrations
Choose 5/7 to sell as prints.
Start writing all parts of book not related to the facts
- dedication, introduction, glossary, sources, appendix, etc
Week 16 - February 9th
Start book cover design
re-establish title
Start first draft of book.
Continue writing information for the book.
Week 17 - February 16th
Working on book cover drafts and ideas
Have first draft of book.
All writing should be finished
Week 18 - February 23rd
Have picked your direction for the book cover and are designing the
final version.
Month 5 - February 28th
Finalize book cover
Second draft of book done
Week 19 - March 1st
Final draft of book , Send to Print
Week 20 - March 9th
Approve book proof
Week 21 - March 16th
Start final Thesis Presentation
Week 22 - March 23rd
Edit final Thesis Presentation
Week 23 - March 30th
Edit final Thesis Presentation
Month 6 - March 30th
Be prepared for show and presentation
Week 24 - April 6th
Have books in Hand!!!!!!
Week 25 - April 13th
Possibly Senior Show weekend
Week 26 - April 20th
